First-Year Chinese, Part 1
This fundamental introduction to Mandarin Chinese focuses on pinyin and character background, pronunciation, grammar, tones, and simplified Chinese characters. This course makes use of a Conversation Café, allowing students to practice speaking with other students, teaching assistants, and the instructor. This is the first course in a four-part Chinese series, which aligns to ACTFL standards.
