Why CTE?

CTE Students achieve more.

Who would say no to higher graduation rates? Participation in Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses increases high school graduation rates to about 95 percent, or about 10 percent higher than the national average.1 And students who take high-quality CTE courses have higher achievement in core academic subjects and are most likely to take college-prep courses.

CTE students enroll in higher education at higher rates

78% of CTE students go on to pursue postsecondary education.2 Not only does CTE increase career readiness, but it also fosters a love for learning that encourages further education.

CTE students are more prepared for a career

80% of students said that CTE classes helped them “focus on their studies and know where they were headed.”3 CTE helps students discover their career paths before starting college, saving money and time.

Our CTE courses are perfect for students and teachers. Students have the freedom to explore career options; teachers can help students study their specific interest areas.
